Whether you are looking to lose weight, improve your current fitness or meet a specific fitness goal, need help to build strength and muscle mass or simply to learn new exercises and correct technique, we can can help you stay motivated and achieve your goals.
Our Personal Trainers are experts in their field, and will work with you to understand your needs and guide you with a personalised fitness program.
Personal trainers are part-coach, part-mentor, part-friend and even part-drill instructor at times. What remains constant is their goal, which is to oversee an individual’s fitness program and to help them achieve their goals.
Personal trainers have a love of fitness, and it shows. Their focus on a healthy lifestyle, a commitment to a fit physique, and a desire to share their passion with others is apparent, which allows them to serve as positive role models for the exercise challenged or for those who want to take their fitness to the next level.
Our personal trainers:
- Provide and supervise exercise programs for clients in good health.
- Design and deliver personalised fitness programs.
- Instruct exercise in a safe and effective manner.
Our physical training sessions focus on five key areas, which combine to improve your health and to achieve total fitness:
- Cardio and pulmonary fitness.
- Flexibity to minimise the risk of injuries
- Muscle strength and endurance tnrough resisistance training.
- Co-ordination and agility.
- Body fat and weight loss.
Our Personal Trainers can support you with:
- Goal directed individual sessions.
- General fitness and strength related goals.
- Participating in other sport, recreation and leisure activities.
Personal Training sessions can be conducted in the privacy or convenience of your own home, local gym or outdoors in a nearby suitable park, playing field or sports oval.
Sessions may also be conducted in the Breakfast Point Country Club gym, if you are a member.
Group Exercise
Group exercise classes are a great way to meet new people, learn the basics and help you to stay motivated.
Our group exercise classes consists of a variety of activities including boxercise, toning with handweights, abdominal exercises, fat burning, cardio-fitness, interval circuits & stretching, providing a total body workout.
Group Exercise sessions are conducted every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday morning at Breakfast Point - either outdoors at the Village Green Oval, or nearby at the Fairwater Community Room if weather is poor.

All the required training equipment is provided, however you are also welcome to bring along your own equiment if you prefer (e.g. boxing gloves or yoga mat).
- A towel & water bottle are recommended.
- Sunglasses & sunscreen in the summer months.
- Comfortable workout clothing & appropriate gym shoes.
The fee to attend our group exercise class is $20 per person. Payment can be finalised when attending the session, or pre-paid by contacting us beforehand.
For convenience, we accept all payment methods including cash, major credit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay and EFT.
Exercise Physiology
Exercise physiology specialises in clinical exercise interventions for people with a broad range of health issues, including those at risk of developing, or with existing, medical conditions and injuries.
Our interventions are exercise-based and include health and physical activity education, advice and support, and lifestyle modification with a strong focus on achieving behavioural change.
An Exercise Physiologist or "EP", is an allied health professional who specialises in the benefits of exercise to help patients get fitter for all around good health, or to treat patients with a medical condition through exercise.
They are knowledgeable about the effects that exercise has on the musculoskeletal, cardiovascular and endocrine systems, and can prescribe a course of exercises for either fitness or rehabilitation, and advise on behavioural modification programs.
Exercise Physiologists can treat clients with medical conditions such as obesity, arthritis, diabetes, cancer, osteoporosis, depression, asthma and cardiovascular diseases, as well as many other conditions.
A referral is not necessary to visit an Exercise Physiologist, however it is common for EP’s to work closely with other health professionals such as GP's to develop individualised exercise programs.
If you have been referred by your GP under an Enhanced Primary Care (ECP) Plan you may be eligible for Medicare Rebates. Alternatively, if you have private health insurance that covers Exercise Physiology (Extras Cover), you may be able to claim a rebate from your provider.
Exercise Physiologists are qualified to manage and prescribe exercise to clients with a range of health conditions including:
- Diabetes and pre-diabetes
- Cardiovascular disease including Hypertension and Hyperlipidemia
- Osteoporosis and Osteopenia
- Arthritis (Osteoarthritis, Rheumatiod Arthritis, etc.)
- Obesity and Weight Loss
- Musculoskeletal conditions
- Neurological conditions such as MS, Parkinsons, etc.
- Depression
- Immunological
- Parkinsons
Rehabilitation & Injury Management
Health Smart provide specialised exercise rehabilitation programmes and injury management for clients under the Workers’ Compensation and Motor Vehicle Accident (CTP) schemes.
Working as part of your healthcare team, our Accredited Exercise Physiologist will prescribe and manage tailored exercise programmes to accelerate your recovery and improve your health following illness, injury or surgery.

To access exercise physiology services under Workers Compensation or Motor Vehicle Accident (CTP), we require a valid referral from your consulting doctor and pre-approval for the requested exercise physiology ervices from your insurance provider / case manager.
An Exercise Physiologist will be part of your health care team once you start a rehabilitation program. They may provide
- Information on how to start an exercise program and how to maintain this into the long term
- A personalised exercise plan.
- Expert advice on the best exercises for your condition and goals
- Information on behavioural changes that will benefit your health and wellbeing in the long term.
Disability Support
The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) supports people with disability to help build skills and capability so they can participate in the community and employment.
As a registered NDIS provider, Health Smart are able to provide tailored Personal Training and Exercise Physiology services to eligible NDIS participants with approved funding under the 'Improved Health & Wellbeing' support category.

Accredited Exercise Physiologists are allied health professionals, who can help with a range of health conditions and utilise their skills in exercise prescription.
- They deliver exercise, lifestyle and behavioural modification programs for the prevention and management of chronic conditions, injuries and disabilities.
- Work with clients to maintain and improve health and fitness for functional tasks, as well as maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
- Adopt a holistic approach to managing clients to encourage reablement, promote wellness and to improve clinical, functional and psychosocial status.
- Prescribe exercise as therapy for specific conditions and disabilities.
- Perform health and functional assessments to understand the type and severity of disability, to assist with planning interventions, and to measure the outcomes or effectiveness of interventions and therapies.

Health & Wellness Coaching
Health and Wellness Coaching is similar to life coaching except that it deals with issues for and about your body, your overall health and general well-being.
If you want to be healthier, and you are committed to making some major lifestyle changes to get there, then a Health and Wellness Coach is who you want to work with.
Our Health and Wellness Coaching sessions can be conducted either in person, or remotely via phone or video conference.
A health coach is not a personal trainer, a counselor or a dietician.
Health and Wellness Coaches help clients make positive and lasting changes to their health.
They guide clients through the process of creating a vision for their health and well-being, developing a healthy mindset and healthy habits, and encouraging them every step of the way until they accomplish their goals.
A Health and Wellness Coach is a supportive mentor and wellness authority who works with clients to help them achieve health-related goals, with a focus on areas such as behaviour change, exercise and nutrition. They partner with the client to develop individualized wellness programs and strategies for improving their health, exercise, eating and emotional well-being.
Health and wellness coaches can help people manage chronic conditions (like diabetes), lose weight and keep it off, increase movement and activity, and generally improve their physical and mental health.
